IRG-Rail has published its Eighth Market Monitoring Report. It covers the year 2018 and includes data from 31 European countries. The publication comes at a time when IRG-Rail is undertaking to maintain its activities as regularly as possible in the current circumstances.
In the 2020 IRG-Rail report, emphasis has been placed on three topics: i) the competitive situation in the rail passenger and freight markets, ii) barriers to entry in the railway markets, and iii) direct competition in the rail passenger market.
The Eighth Annual Market Monitoring report is presented in two documents: the Main Report, which presents overall results at the European level, and the Working Document, in which country specific details are provided. Data used to build graphics are also available. All the documents can be found here.
